My name is Saravanan Chockalingam., and I'm from India. I am a self-taught contemporary figurative and expressionist painter and photographer. I was born in Tamil Nadu, India, in a small town near Madurai (Temple City).

Near my town, there are Many temples with lovely sculptures . The beauty, pattern, and precision of the expressions in the sculpture astonished and encouraged me to establish my own style. It also helped me express the vibrant nature of human sensations such as sensuality, love, fury, despair, hunger, birth, and death through my paintings.. 

My artistic style evolved, embracing the distinctive brushstrokes and color harmonies synonymous with Impressionism. I sought to encapsulate the essence of a moment, the mood of a scene, rather than a rigid depiction of reality
 
Picasso, Egon Schlie, and Francis Bacon's arts had a strong effect on me. Those works assisted me in widening and deepening my horizons.
